The Group’s mineral export unit, Core Minerals was set up in 1996. The company has mines in Jharkhand, Orissa, and Gujarat, with stock-yards in Paradip, Haldia and Vizag on the east coast and Mangalore.

The company exports iron ore and bauxite to countries across the world, China being the one that absorbs the largest quantum. Significantly, about 2 million tons of iron ore are mined every year, a feat that puts the company among the top exporters in India.

Over 300 professionals man the various operations, as hi-tech equipment churn out 10,000 metric tons of iron ore every day, which are readied for shipment by means of self-reliant logistic support.

Core Minerals also has exclusive access to other coal producers in Indonesia and South Africa.
