ABOUT US

ARCHEAN offers ship-owners & banks a safe & secure ship lay-up facility for efficiently maintaining & preserving their ships for any period on the east-coast of India. The lay-up facility offers safety, economy & compliance with all local & international regulations.

ARCHEAN will extend comprehensive services, know-how & support to help owners decide the level of deactivation. We will support to maintain the ship in a condition such that it can be reactivated & put into service within a desired short period.

The lay-up management team is led by senior superintendents, who are experienced ship masters and chief engineers. World class officers & crew form the core of the operation team.

Once a decision is taken for laying-up ship, ARCHEAN assigns a senior superintendent as the ship-manager for the vessel. He/ she is in charge for the entire lay-up operation of the ship and remains the single point of contact for the owner for all needs.

The ship manager is responsible for the necessary planning & preparation including the development of lay-up procedures. He/ she administers & supervises the performance of the lay-up procedures, repairs & the fulfillment of regulatory and Class requirements.

Highly experienced technical superintendents collaborate with ship-staff and the owner to tailor the lay-up specification for the vessel and owner’s specific requirements. They can also advise and undertake any kind of major/ minor repairs or maintenance activities on-board.
